CSI/SORT
- Fast Sort for VSE Operating Systems.
BIM-EDIT
- BIM-EDIT can replace ICCF, VOLLIE, ROSCOE, LIBRARIAN, CONDOR or
PANVALET. Conversion programs are available for most existing online editors.
BIM-EDIT provides:
a much easier to use editor
tighter source control with check-in/check-out, member auditing and stamping,
version control and archiving
a more flexible and straightforward security system
significantly better performance / efficiency
more flexible operations a more powerful, yet simpler to use procedure
processor.
RELIANT
- Reliant is a family of product components that when used together,
provide dataset protection for your shops VSAM datasets. Reliant is comprised
of three components:
RECOV - Provides VSAM dataset recovery
JOURNAL - Provides VSAM journaling for batch programs.
JMASTER - Provides automatic journal switching and backup of your CICS and
CICS/TS journals.
Data/Miner
- Data-Miner is an easy to use, general purpose VSAM I/O interface utility
designed to simplify and standardize access to VSAM files. Data-Miner provides
full VSAM access from programs written in many fourth generation languages
(4GL) such as NATURAL and Focus. Data-Miner also provides a more powerful,
easier and more efficient way of accessing VSAM from programs written in third
generation languages such as COBOL and PL/I.
OVERRIDE
- Override is a product which is designed to significantly increase the
performance of VSAM in every installation. It does this in a way which is
transparent to the programs involved, does not alter any VSAM files and does
not make any modifications to VSAM itself. While each installation is
different, experience with some installations has shown potential savings to be
astounding.
VSUM
- VSUM provides powerful design, monitoring and tuning capabilities for
VSE VSAM catalogs and data sets. VSUM provides five major functions, which will
simplify many of the routine and complex tasks necessary for effective VSAM
data set design and management. VSUM can be executed in either TSO/ISPF or
batch mode. .
VSHARE
- V-Share allows multiple programs to update the same VSAM file
simultaneously. To accomplish this, V-Share intercepts batch VSAM requests and
ships the requests to a CICS/VSE region (hereafter just "CICS region"). CICS
then updates the file on behalf of the batch jobs. By giving batch jobs the
ability to update files within CICS, V-Share makes CICS the VSAM data
manager. .
BIM-FAQS/CALL
- allows the VSE system to trigger a Call List that will call a pager,
based on PCS and /or ASO actions. By setting up a predetermined call list the
user can specify which pagers receive certain messages under different
circumstances. The user can also set predefined responses that the pager can
then send back to the VSE system to act upon.
.
BIM/FAQS-PCS
- BIM-FAQS/PCS (Production Control System) provides state-of-the-art
automated scheduling for VSE data centers. BIM-FAQS/PCS triggers an unlimited
number of events that have simple and complex dependencies. Scheduling
decisions are made accurately and at machine speed. Human error is virtually
eliminated. And throughput improves. So you can more easily meet today's
demanding service level agreements. .
BIM/FAQS-ASO
- BIM-FAQS/ASO is the automated systems operations product for VSE.
BIM-FAQS/ASO enables you to automate your system in many ways.
You can:
Manage messages automatically by filling in blank panels
Create your own commands
Create your own PF keys
Increase system throughput.
BIM-FAQS/ASO's
Automated Operations features bring together the following to give you the
power of automated systems operations:
REXX language, compiler, and editor (99% REXX compatible)
BIM-FAQS/ASO
BIM-FAQS/PCS
Menus and data panels
ODIS
- ODIS displays under CICS a wealth of information about the current
status of the CICS system, under VSE or MVS, and also displays VSE, VTAM and
VSE DL/I status information. Both detail and summary displays are provided, as
well as analytic displays used for problem determination. ODIS also has an
optional feature called "ODISTRAK" through which ODIS records major CICS
statistics and periodically writes them to a VSAM file. Batch programs analyze
and report on the recorded data, and also permit archiving of it to tape.
.
SSL
- For VSE to participate in a secure e-business strategy, the platform
must provide for message integrity, authentication, and confidentiality. We use
data encryption, digital signatures, PKI certificates, and secure hash
functions to prevent messages from being camouflaged, passwords from being
hacked, and transactions from being denied. The services are provided in the
Connectivity Systems product line by the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) feature of
TCP/IP for VSE. SSL for VSE is an optional product that is fully integrated
into TCP/IP for VSE and provides a complete set of services to secure
e-business transactions. SSL for VSE implements both the SSL 3.0 and TLS 1.0
standards for e-business security. Although SSL has been officially renamed to
TLS for all future releases, we use SSL as a generic name for both SSL and
TLS. .
See/VSE
- SeeVSE allows you to analyze the activity and performance of your VSE
and TCP/IP systems from an easy to use PC graphical user interface. SeeVSE will
answer questions like:
What
is the current CPU usage of my VSE system?
What was CPU usage yesterday at 3pm?
What was the CPU trend for the last 2 months?
Which partitions are using the most resources?
.
CAF
- CICS Access Facility. The importance of CICS in VSE installations cannot
be overstated. CICS serves as data repository, interactive interface and as the
focal point of processing in most VSE shops. Recognizing the critical nature of
CICS in VSE/ESA and z/VSE, CSI International is proud to introduce our latest
TCP/IP for VSE enhancement--the CICS Access Facility (CAF). The purpose of CAF
is to do just what the name implies: provide access to CICS using TCP/IP
facilities. .
NFS
- The Network File System (NFS) is a package of software programs that
allows you to mount the VSE file system to any other operating system that runs
an NFS client. This means that your PC workstation, your UNIX server, and even
your VM system can access any VSE file system object as if that VSE file is on
that clients disk drive. Since there are implementations of NFS client for
just about every operating system, just about any computer in the world can use
VSE files with standard applications that do not perform any client server
calls. .
GPS
for VSE - One of the side effects of
introducing TCP/IP for VSE and TN3270 into an SNA network is the loss of VTAM
printing capability. For decades, users have been able to use green-screen 327x
terminals with 328x print support. However, when the green-screen is replaced
with TN3270, the user loses the 328x functionality. The General Print Server
(GPS) restores and enhances this function in a TN3270 environment, without
requiring you to change any of your applications.
.
TCP/IP
for VSE - Provides a complete solution for
connecting the mainframe to today's Internet world. Our TCP/IP stack provides a
seamless interface with the Internet, allowing VSE mainframe applications to
participate fully in the global business arena. Built in tools make VSE
functions and facilities immediately available to network-attached users.
Optional and third-party products bring the full power and reliability of
mainframe computing to the e-Commerce world.
.
TAPE/2000
- Automated tape library media Management for complete protection.
.k
Sim-Date - SIM-Date (formerly known as
SIM/2000) is a comprehensive date & time simulator for OS/390,MVS, and VSE
users. Developed from the highly successful SIM/2000 date simulator, SIM-Date
works in both testing and production environments to make it possible to tell
all or part of your workload that the date or time is different from what the
CPU thinks it is.
